For therapists to assist clients in discovering solutions to challenges they are experiencing, counselors must effectively support, lead, and arrange their sessions. Mindfulness and self-compassion are the two most crucial components of person-centered treatment that therapists must encourage. These practices help clients appreciate themselves and their families (Weiten et al., 2018). Furthermore, this treatment approach prepares patients to build healthy, constructive relationships with other people and themselves.
